At Crowley’s, we have developed a method to provide the best possible seam work. We call it The Crowley Method.
There are two stages in every seam job. Fabrication and installation. At other shops the fabrication of a granite slab begins with a joint edge being cut with a diamond blade. A saw-cut edge always results in chipping and roughness. This ensures rough joints which a consumer could find disappointing.
The Crowley Method of seam fabrication begins with a digital template of your countertops followed by a horizontal layout of the slabs using clear vinyl templates. This enables us to match patterns to the stone and help hide your seam. Homeowners are always invited to participate in the layout process. We encourage homeowners input because it allows them to highlight their favorite part of the material.
After layout, the material is cut out on our laser-guided gantry saw. After sawing, the counters are milled on the seam machine. Milling the stone removes the chips and provides the best possible edge along your seam.
During installation, the stone is brought in and leveled. Once the counters are leveled and the seams are aligned, we color match a glue onsite to match your material perfectly. After the glue is placed in the seam our trained installers will use a machine that will get your counters as level and tight as physically possible.
