Quartz and granite countertops are extremely popular kitchen countertop choices in large part because of how simple to maintain they are. Both are easy to clean and difficult to scratch.
Quartz is a manmade material, so it’s engineered to be durable, scratch and heat resistant, and low maintenance. It has the look and feel of more expensive materials like marble, except it’s non-porous and doesn’t require sealing. Granite, though not as porous as marble, does require sealing, but the process is simple. When done properly, granite is nearly as low maintenance as quartz.
